Globalization has been on the rise since the 1990s and the Internet and new technologies have produced a considerable quantity of information that requires management. The dynamics of information management has been the subject of several research projects in the field of the cognitive sciences and the results can be useful in the management of knowledge.
This article1 outlines a concept that promotes the use of cognitive sciences in the management of knowledge. Known as the cognitive management of knowledge, this form of knowledge management aims to foster innovation, efficiency, communication, adaptation to change, decision making and problem solving in organisations by pooling the knowledge from all of their composite parts.
